I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at Curry College, located 7 miles south of Boston, MA. I came to Curry in the Fall of 2001, and I teach courses in Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Experimental Psychology. I am delighted to be a part of this department because of its longstanding and recognized commitment to students, teaching, scholarship, and collegiality. The Psychology faculty here at Curry are known for their excellent and rigorous teaching and scholarship. My research focuses on the social and psychological effects that the Internet has on its users. In particular, I am interested in the associations between Internet use and loneliness, depression, social integration, and other indices of psychological well-being. I am currently studying the role of both personality and anxiety in the etiology and exacerbation of asthma symptomatology. In addition, I have expertise in multivariate statistical methods, structural equation modeling, and various meta-analytic techniques.
